I show up at your door with roses
But you throw them to the ground
You say you no longer love me
And you no longer want me around
I tell you that I love you
But it's something you don't believe
You slam the door in my face
And you order me to leave
I beg you to take me back
I profess my love over the phone
You tell me that it's over
And you want to be left alone
I try to be kind to you
I try desperately to be loving and tender
When I send you my love letters
There postmarked return to sender
I think of you often
You are the one I desperately miss
I long for your soft touch
I hunger for your sweet kiss
I sit and wonder why
And where did I go wrong
I often sit alone in my room
And listen to sad love songs
If I could only turn back time
Then I would take away the pain
Of all the times I left you lonely
And standing in the rain
You won't see me,you won't talk to me
I don't know what to do
How can I get my message across
Of how much I'm missing you
Are the things I've done
Really that hurtful and bad
I deeply apologize to you
For all the times I've made you sad
I can't seem to live without you
My life is empty and I'm in deep sorrow
I don't look forward to the future
Because without you there are no tomorrows
I realize I hurt you
I've found the errors of my ways
I swear I'll always love you
Until my dying days
We had so many dreams
Our love was all that mattered
But now all our dreams are broken
And our love is deeply shattered
Is it another man
Is there someone else in your life
My hope was to stand before God
And make you my loving wife
We don't communicate
My voice is something you refuse to hear
Now I swim in a sea of sorrow
Created by all my tears
Now I am lost
And unable to carry on my quest
But still I think positive
And I try to hope for the best
Hopefully one day you will realize
Just how sorry I truly am
And I will always be here waiting
To take you by the hand
But for now I realize it's over
And I know I'll have many lonely days
But somehow I've got to carry on and survive
Because we've gone our separate ways
