Appreciation Jacson A Bevens
No fingers appreciate warmth more than those that have been frozen,
Their recovery a stinging reawakening
No mouth loves food like the one that has starved
Is there a more precious body of water than the cup
Offered to a man dying of thirst?
You want to be rich?
Give all you have away
Unappreciated wealth is chaff in the wind
You want to delight in the mountaintop?
Cherish the monotony of the valley
Joy is relative to sorrow
Beauty to ugliness
A mother cannot cherish her own child apart from
The pain of birthing it
I cannot love you as deeply as I want
Without accepting the pain of never getting to
