Everything You Do Connie Kay Hallstrand
Days blurred together, time stands still.
Facing another day alone takes all your will.
The day he said goodbye, your heart did break.
Your passion for life, his passing did take.
You’ve numbly gotten through the first year,
But time hasn’t stopped tear after tear.
To continue to go on is still hard…
Knowing your heart is forever scarred.
You wonder how you can face another day alone,
When everything is gone, you had once known.
The first year is behind you…
And taking many new steps you did do.
As hard as it was, unfamiliar and scary,
All your burdens he did help you carry.
He was there beside you each new step you did take,
And felt your pain with every heart ache.
He wrapped his arms around you
The times when crying was all you could do.
He surrounded you with love and hope
On your darkest days, when you didn’t think you could cope.
He never once has left your side,
And wiped your tears away when you’ve cried.
He will forever be near to you
He will forever help you through.
He has felt every ounce of your love
Even as far away as heaven above.
So when you’re down, and ever so blue,
Know he’s still there, in everything you do.
