From the canyon cliffs
I dreamed I jumped
and tumbled aimlessly
falling and falling
and as I was falling
I wondered if I closed
eyes
and dreamt my spirit
never to touch bottom
what would happen?
drifting
my spirit carried me
descending
farther and farther
I can see
the river below me
the edge
of the canyon walls
lunging for me
as if to take my life
but my spirit
continued to carry me
beyond the point until
I reached
landing gently on my feet
