Deception is hard to perceive because many of us don’t want to believe
“Be honest with me please! I promise I won’t mortify, taunt or tease”
If only we all upheld this plea to let our fellow man just be….
Then man wouldn’t feel the need to misguide
Instead confide, and reveal authentic self pride
“Why can’t I just be me and live with out your criticism?”
As imperfectionist we judge and deprive equilibrium
With our set guidelines and principles of what makes a good her or him
“Please don’t inhibit my inner beauty through your constraints of impossibility
Because I couldn’t possibly be him, her, or you and I wouldn’t impose that irrationality on you, so provide the same courtesy for me too.”
