You're watching me. Oddly focused.
Injected with your genuine interest.
Truth serum. Here we go. Watch my mouth.
It’s a common experience; inaudible actions.
So loud. Like living your outside. So confident.
Hiding quietly. Suddenly your inside is pulled out.
Through your eyes, found. You're naked! Inevitably seen.
Nervous laughter. Ha! Fly with me a minute. Imaginary kiss.
Keep laughing. We're spinning. This could be wrong.
Cover my thoughts! I want my shirt, but I’m left with yours.
Thanks. You left something on me. Now I’m back to this place.
It's all too familiar. This is how I once was. Soft-shelled.
Frustrated, withdrawn, affected and fenceless. Its trouble.
Bite of lip, I flee. A run to the familiar, the now.
Simplistic, predictable, safe from the fear of fall.
I am red, on. I blink. There's the green. Where am I?
Red blooded, breathing, avoidant. Confronting urges.
I can win, I did before. Not mad, just bursting.
Not bursting, just aware of myself. Hate what I know.
In love with love; couldn’t catch it when seeking.
It looked, I looked away. I find a safety net.
I pull it over my eyes. Walk through celebrations.
Through the crowd I see it. Kiss of neck. Imagination?
There it is. Haunting me. Tricked me and tripped me.
Love. Pushes me closer to myself. Comfort attempts escape.
I'm clinging, consumed, I could fall. I'm at the edge of you.
You claim your shirt. It's starting to fit like it belongs.
Tongue in cheek, drop of net, I keep in on. Finally, I jump.
