Same Old Story

Here we go again, the same old story. Girl meets boy, girl opens up, and the boy betrays trust and walks away forever. She’ll close her eyes forever at what seemed to be her last desire for some form of contentment. He’ll find someone new, a soul only fascinated with what physical appearance and shallowness can provide, he too will be burned, and shall wallow in his own self pity. She’ll stop believing, her faith will recede, into a blood red pool, made for both her and me. He’ll continue to wallow, until his heart can break no longer, a bottle of Jack Daniels seems to pass the days on much quicker. She proceeds to drown, in that blood red pool, her screams of anguish will not be heard; she bleeds for him, as he dies for her. Memories of Cinderella, and Snow White, surround the young woman of 24. A prince who comes to a damsels rescue, and promised nothing but love, health, and vitality to endorse her, seems to spit in her face, for she realizes it’s only a story. He could only do so much and give her everything her heart desired, but sometimes money and great tales of love can’t solve everything.
She slowly dies, and fades away, as he puts down the bottle, and rigs the rope in the hallway. What became of this couple, needless to say, just remember life doesn’t work out like it does in the stories.
