sometimes i wonder....
how i became the way
i am today.
when you're most unaware
my eyes peek deeply into your soul
and each time i always find
unlimited reasons
why you take my breath away.
as i go in deeper
i get lost within....as if i entered
a place yet to be discovered
where wildflowers thrive
beneath a cool gentle rain.
i see bridges
of magnificent rainbows
and calm rivers and creeks
murmuring love songs
that pacify my thoughts.
i freely walk on
across these bridges
as cool water of heaven
misting gently
all over my skin.
and in my mind
i am this innocent rosebud
sipping from your golden cup
for the very first time.
then i become
a new rainbow
rising and soaring
that i can only compare
to emerald tides
drawn skyward
by the mystical power
of the desert moon.
and you my Love....
is my desert moon
supressing my dark dreams
and taking me
into a secluded harbor
where your soul awaits
to unite with my own.
and before the night is over
serenity lulls within
because
you've taken my breath away
once more.
