And so I just sit waiting
For the faceless to close in
Nowhere else left to hide
I might as well give in
Just can’t think of an answer
There’s really no light at the end
And to top it all
No one to call a friend
I don’t think I’m a bad person
Sure I’ve made mistakes
But compared to others
I just didn’t get the breaks
And now I am in a corner
No postcards left to send
And to top it all
No one to call a friend
I was destined to be a loser
I thwarted fate for a while
But its time to pay the reaper
And oddly enough I just smile
Life just finds its own way
I am back to my original trend
And to top it all
No one to call a friend
So as the end rolls nearer
What will become of her?
She stuck with me so blameless
This shit just isn’t fair
If only I could protect her
From the inevitable end
For now I know the truth you see
She has been my only friend
