Don’t cross your fingers
I’ve wrapped you in
A blanket of trust.
Empty oaths and broken vows
Will not release you
From all unjust.
Deception
Betrayal
Your cunning disguise
Will not redeem
Your wicked lies.
So drawn to illusion
A vampire to a pulse
A painted delusion
Of self-worth and
Nothing else.
So don't cross your fingers
Reveal your hands
Resolve your issues
And understand
The blanket of trust I've
Wrapped you in
Will envelop you
Until the end.
