Just A Glance
Rob Badger
She looks at me
I look back at her
Oh her presence speaks beauty
Oh she makes those feelings stir
We’re just friends
But the smiles don’t change
She tries to hide
What she feels inside
But those smirks and quick glances
Are no where near strange.
Because I do the same thing.
Maybe a second after her head turns
A second after her eyes stray
How I want to meet that stare
How my heart yearns
For what she can bring.
She could bring me the rays from the sun
The stars from the night sky
The power to smile and not wonder why
And knowledge to understand it’s ok to cry.
