The Silent Thief Tamsin Butler
The silent thief.
I thought about you again today, you just keep creeping into my mind.
The silent thief who stole my heart and all my waking thoughts
Gently padding like a cat you have come into my dreams.
Without even a whispered word you have taken control of me.
I can feel you spreading throughout my being and into my very soul
Every part of me, wrapped up in your tightening bind.
The web you cast all around me, in which I was caught
Pulling me, lifting me, away from the disturbing realms.
You fill me with desire, the longing to be free.
But the feeling that you give me is the one of being whole.
Who can predict the happiness that together we could find.
We could have the kind of love that can’t be traded or bought
But I realise that my fantasy of love can never be
You will always be just the thief who stole my heart and soul.
I know now that it is over and sadness grips on to me
The aching to be with you, will crumble away to ashes.
The wanting for the future will fade away like mist
My emotions for you will wash away with time.
But forgive me if I shed some tears for you not wanting me.
Even now I feel them creeping over my lashes
The good memories that now will all be missed
For my breaking heart I know will heal in time!
I will miss you Love.

"Beautiful poem - shame you had to go through so much pain to write it **hug**" -- Briony.
"Awww! You poor thing you. I can't believe this site. Another fucking diary writer. Lester was right about you women. Why does everyone who gets dumped think they've earned the right to clutter up this site with their ditsy view of romance. You all belong to the same female counter-culture club. the..... C an't U nderstand N ormal T hinking S isters " -- Clyde.
"Thank for your comment Clyde and for jumping to conclusions that all poems are about women being dumped. How do you know that he didn't die and this is my way of dealing with the pain. My advice to you is grow up! " -- Tamsin.
