Middle Age
Chris E Ivins

Middle age
Is a wonderful stage
It's witty and wise
Wholesome and sage

I can sit on my pinnacle
Spout all things whimsical
No-one cares if I don't
Make sense, coz I won't

I can say what I want to
Don't mean to offend you
Did I shock you? Oh good
I knew that I would!

And I love getting fatter
It really don't matter
This middle-aged spread
Is nothing to dread

I embrace middle age
It's really all the rage
Youth is so overrated
And most exaggerated

So unite all middle agers
You forty-something ragers
It's time to scream out loudly
WE WEAR OUR MIDDLE AGE PROUDLY!
