Midnight Satin
and Daylight Silk
like that’s supposed to mean something to me?
Love, he has waited
patiently
to finally have his
Chocolate Fantasy.
But I am not the one
to fulfill this fantasy,
satisfy your curiosity
of what it is like to
be inside of me.
I am more than this
Chocolate Fantasy.
I am more than being
some White man’s whore—
even if he wants to whore for me.
I am beauty, the kind
that made men fall and nations do battle for my hand.
I am sass, the kind
that could get in trouble if I didn’t know my own power.
I am strength, the kind
that lifts men, gives life to babies and protects villages.
I am mind, body, heart and soul…
I balance this earth with my female energy.
So I don’t need your warm,
White light.
Because I’m not looking for
some Daylight Silk.
I am searching for my Ebony King…
So I can be his Cinnamon Queen
And bring back the prosperity of Nubia from On High.
I am flattered that you would consider me
to be this
