For a woman who has been let down
She stood on the rocks night and day
A strong heart and endless love abound
The wave disregards the trouble it's made
By starlight and gray skies
The maiden cries for love
Yet the wave is slow to surmise
The beauty from above
The rocks get harder
The tide slips slowly away
Their world becomes darker
Yet still, she stays
The wave, now lost in water
Is oblivious to her pain
The love she gave unaltered
Is dying from the same
Time passes and the wave returns again
To empty shores
And nothing more
But an echo of a friend
He beats the rock upon which she stood
Throwing his tears to the wind
Loosing all reflection of everything that was good
He longs to be with her again...
His true love, be with her again.
