Sorrow's Attic C Simnitt
Making myself a seat
In the corner of my mind
Dusty boxes at my feet
Filled with thoughts of another time
Do I dare disturb, what has slept so quietly
Will they come out again and try to destroy me
Chasing the wind to be true to the calm
Gazing at others, where I belong
Searching for the place where the answers lie
Come with me, stick by my side
I'll show you the way
And there ain't no turning back
And if you want to stay
Then peace may find you
In sorrow's attic
Living in the past
We find all the time
The future that we cast
Continues to walk behind
Sometimes in a soft fallen rain
You can hear a voice of truth
A voice you know, but still let go
Shunned away by unchained youth
I feel the sorrow
Sometimes enjoy the pain
Loving the hate that I shed
Does that make me sick?
I've heard every piece of advice I can take
I mostly ask just to see your face
Sometimes the pain can break a man
Sometimes the pain can make a man
I've seen things happen
I've seen the lives they destroy
I've known the good fight
I'm no stranger to the loss
