Trees shed leaves and the sky sheds rain
Life sheds the old to replenish with new
Time sheds stains to make better ways
And I don't want to shed the warmth of you
Storms will rage with overpowering plight
Emotions will fray in the midst of a fight
I'm not alone because alone is for the unloved
And mountains are anthill from the wings of a dove
Life is a journey to the solution of your soul
And the road becomes narrow
The road becomes a footpath covered with dead leaves
And the earth falls to shambles as light fades away
The din is soundless and the crunch of dead leaves mock the footsteps
The trees form a tunnel with sparkling cloud
As snow reflects moonlight and stalks the disbeliever
But I am not alone, I am loved
The body tires and stumbles on the rocky path
To fall to a resting place upon the icy stones
Life whispers a solemn good-bye
And the reaper glides steadily forth
To pass me by, in my cloud of warmth
