The Weak Worker Of Steel Kira Carlee
your words are frigid
an icy window
denying entrance
to another world
where a caged heart waits
it's lonely thumping
ignorant in bliss
locked to me and all
that dare try the key
we fail regardless
as you wish it be
that window wont yield
to my weak fingers
scraping against steel
the bars you did build
so as to keep all
at a strangers reach
whilst i feel captive
an arms length from you
i am not the one
imprisoned behind
panes of frosted glass
you caged yourself in
constructed prison walls
in order to guard
a worthless treasure
your empty heart means
nothing to no one
as long as it lacks
love to fill the void
the key falls from hand
the walls tumble down
the window shatters
into splintered glass
where you stand all alone
without protection
as vulnerable
as all other souls
