The Hunter And It's Prey

"What is it?"
"Depends does it?"
The snow encircled the two of them as dawn crept up on the horizon spilling purple and orange on the figure in the snow.
"No blood tracks or footprints. This is eerie," the younger of the two stated as he looked over his shoulder at the frozen wood.
"Almost as if it fell from the sky," the other said. He spat a line of tobacco in the snow and it appeared to be blood. "Most likely the snow covered its tracks." He swung his rifle over his left shoulder noticing the sparkles off the snow and the small granular pieces of snow floating on the slight breeze. It tickled his red nose and sent a chill down his spine.
"What are you doing," the younger of the two asked.
"What does it look like, boy? I'm picking it up!"
"That's my kill and no one but me is going to pick it up!"
A heavy moment sagged between them. How much did he know his friend?
"Nobody actually did any killing remember? We just came upon the thing."
The younger of the two lowered his rifle and pointed it at the other. "Don't touch it or I'll blow you head off!"
"What's gotten in you, boy?" The older of the two asked as he jumped back a few yards. "You don't point that thing at a white man!"
"Hands off you hear," the younger of the two said.
"You're loco, boy!"
The younger of the two bent down and admired the figure seeing the mounts and curves thinking of the potential. How would one master such a things? Was it lust or mastery that inflated his pants? "You promised me a kill! You taught me everything I know and said I would get a kill on this hunt! I am not going to just let it rot in the snow!"
"This isn't right, boy."
"Why? It's dead isn't it?" He reaches for the figure and flips it over to see its blank eyes. The tips of the forest could be seen in shadows on the snow. "It's female," he said finding himself more compelled to drop his pants in the biting snowfall.
"Watch it, boy, that you don't get the wrong idea. We don't want the male screwing our females!"
"Yeah, they are the wrong species."
Both managed to pack the figure in furs and hog tie it to the top of the jeep. It was mid day by then and even their footprints been covered by the snow. After a while only silence remained like a question on your lips.
