A DAY WITH OUT SCHOOL
The day started badly, I had asked my mother to wake me up 10 minutes earlier
than usual to review for a test. She woke me up at 5:50, I was very tired so I decided to
stay in bed and read what I had to read when I got to school before the class started. A
few minutes later she went in my room and called me to make sure I wasnt sleeping.
My brother was already at the shower. Me and My brother, David and me share room
and bathroom. Since he is the slowest he always has to go first to the shower.
I could not open my eyes the light was to strong for my sleepy eyes. As I was in
bed waiting for my brother to come out I was thinking what I was going to wear today.
When I heard the water stop I knew it was my turn. Then the door opened and I got out
of my bed and into the bathroom. I opened the water, so I could be hot when I got inside
and meanwhile I started to take my cloth off. When I went inside the shower I felt the
super hot water running through my skin. It was to hot so I opened the cold a little bit.
Then I started to wash my hair very well because I wanted it to smell good and then I
passed the soap and started to bath my self. When I finished I got out of the shower, got
the towel and went to the bed where I had my shirt and my underwear.
When I went and look for my jeans, they were none. So I had to go with my shirt and
my underwear to the kitchen to ask the maid for the blue jean. She had to iron it first, so
while she was ironing the jean I went into my bed and cover my self with the sheets.
Then she called and said the breakfast was ready. So I went walking towards the
dinning table when she gave me the blue jean. I dressed in a minute and when I got
to the table she put on my plate a big “arepa”. I saw the newspaper had arrived so I
started to look at it because I was anxious to see the sport section.
Then my mom looked at her watch and said that we were running late, and I now how
she starts to yell to everyone if we are late because she always gets nervous.
I started to eat all my food, but I then realized I had physical education so I had
to get my uniform and my tennis shoes. I went running to get those things. However I
saw my uniform wet and that is the only one I have since my brother had lost his and he
took mine. When I came and told my mom that the uniform was wet and that I couldn’t
take it like that to school, she started to yell at me, but mostly at the maid for not having
the uniform ready. I thought that was unfair with her because after all it was me, the one
who had made everything happen since I had brought the uniform yesterday and it was
wet. She started yelling at me later and telling me I was an irresponsible person, and
that was the reason for me to be doing badly at school.
I had to wash my teeth and get my bag ready, when I did that and went to the car
my mom started. Although I wanted to go to school I was afraid of getting on the car
because of what she could do to me.
My mom started and then stops before she got outside the house. When she
opened the Door, and she went out into the street. I had thought she was going to leave
me but then I saw the car and I started to run towards it. As I got closer she moved the
car away from me, and then she stopped. She did that about three times and that made
me mad. And then at the fourth time she left. There were a lot of taxis passing by my
house beacause there is a school beside it and all of the students go in a cab. The chofer
called my mom to the cell phone and told her that I was going to the school in a taxi.
She put me on the phone and told me that I was grounded and I couldn’t leave the house
for the day. So I went back in the house and started to do my homework.
I guess she is very disappointed with me but there is nothing I can do. The only
thing I can do is work hard to improve and that way I can start to do better at school and
get what I like back. Because of this she took the chatting away from me. Now I have
the club and the icq. I guess I really need to work hard.
