My First Kiss
Nugget

I remember it so perfectly. I was fifteen and I had never really been around boys because I was in a girls only boarding school. It was in the middle of the summer and my friends and I were invited, By one of the administrators, to go to a party in Downtown Denver. The school thought it would be good for us to be exposed a little to a social life to help us in our social class. This party, to them, was to be a great opportunity because it was for people in our age group.

We met after class in my dorm and after finding what we were going to wear we all went back to our own dorms to wash up. They all came back to my dorm and got on our clothes. I don't think I have ever seen all four of my friends so pretty before that. They looked GREAT! They looked perfect. I felt so bad to be standing next to them because I didn't feel pretty at all. Even the make-up that we all put on after didn't help my look, it only helped them look so much better than me. After that we did each other's hair. As soon as we were done with that we had to leave.

While we were on our way there, we all got so excited because it was the first party any of us had ever been to. We did know how to dance because we learned how to in music class, and we all knew how to really well but that didn't matter. We were still anxious because non of us had ever danced with a boy.

At last we arrived, but none of us wanted to get out first, sos the administrator did. After a while waiting and feeling like everyone was looking at us and feeling stupid, we all got out and walked up to the ticketmaster. We all gave her our tickets and we went inside. It was exhilarating with all the lights and everything, it was perfect for a first party. None of us knew what to do, so we all just went over to the vendor to get something to drink. We each got a Coke and sat down at a table with just enough chairs. We sat there for a couple minutes talking about how the party was so far, when the most incredible thing happened. This guy, tan, dark hair, brown eyes, great skin, and a little taller than I was , was walking towards me. When I saw him coming towards me my legs started to shake with excitement, and my stomach was in my throat. He came up to me with his hands streched out and he asked,"Would you like to dance?" I almost screamed with excitement because out of all my gorgeous friends and the other girls in the party, he chose ME. As he walked me to the dancing floor I kept on trembling..... I was going to dance with this gorgeous guy who actually chose me out of all those other girls!! When we started dancing I gained more confidence. He was very talkative, which was a quality that I liked. He asked me my name, and I told him. Then I asked him for his name and age. His name was Seth and he was sixteen.

After the song was over I asked him to come with me to my table which he agreed to, with, what I thought, was enthusiasm. We walked back to my table and to my relief my friends had also been asked to dance, but mine was definately the cutest. We all had another Coke, when Seth asked me if I'd like to meet his friends. I accepted his invitation willingly, and we walked over to his three very cute friends. We talked a while, then Seth and I decided to go to our own table to talk just with each other. After talking about the main points in both of our lives, we went dancing again, but this time we danced much closer to each other. When the song ended we both had the same idea in our heads. He bent over a little, and we kissed, my first kiss from a boy ever!!!!!!

"I think your story is very good. I liked it a lot, just one question is it a real life story?" -- Nathalia Arenas, Cali, Colombia.
"This story was really great. Even though I'm a boy, it still kind of reflects the feelings boys had about girls during their younger times. It made me think of my first time, and how good it felt just to get it over with, its sounds terrible but thats how most kids my age felt when we were young." -- Hiren Patel, Bloomington, Illinois, USA.
"I feel that this was an interesting subject, but I think if it was elaborated more would be even more interesting. I would like to know more about what was going on in your head before the kiss. Did the kiss change anything, did you guys keep in touch after the class. " -- Krisin Rehbock.
