Imagine yourself walking alone through a beautiful forest during early autumn. The leaves of the trees fade, but the warmth still surrounds you. The path you take leads you through to a stream with trees crippled over creating a tunnel atmosphere. A safe feeling cradles your mind. You kneel down and take a drink of the cool refreshing water. Moments pass and you look around taking in everything. You look in the water trying to capture a glimpse of yourself, but you don’t realize there isn’t one to catch. You aren’t really there. Slowly you remember and everything turns dark as if consumed by evil. When you look around this time everything is dead. The skies fill with heavy black rain clouds and it turns so cold you can barely stand it. There’s nobody here to care for you and nobody to hold onto you against all odds. You start to run your heart racing, emotions exploding. Everything you dreamt of is gone. Everything you had disappears and you’re left here. You look down at your hands seeing them shaking from the colds winds that cut through your skin. You trace the scars on your wrists and memories release into your mind. Do you remember? Do you know your dead? You see your beautiful daughter playing outside on the swing set. Your husbands picture lies in front of you. Do you remember now? He tried driving home that day for your daughter’s first ballet recital. She had pleaded with him that morning and so he promised her. Did he make it to her recital? He drove too fast, didn’t he, or maybe a drunk driver came into the situation? What happened? Oh…he was there, wasn’t he? Yes. He saw he dance and laughing. He really did love the two of you and you both loved him just as much. How did you get here? Do you remember? You had two vehicles that night and your daughter wanted to go with her daddy. She looked up to him in so many ways. You had a family that belonged together. Remember what happened. That’s right, you drove on home while they stopped off for ice cream. You weren’t feeling well that night. Was it because of the baby? Minutes turned into hours as you waited for the door to open or the phone to ring and release your worrying mind. When it did ring and you picked it up you didn’t want that phone call anymore. Why? It was the phone call that half pushed you here. It had been the police remember? When you went to the hospital you broke down. You whole world fell apart that night. Remember seeing your six-year-old daughter lying motionless on the operating table, her clothes drenched in blood. She had been so excited to ride home with her daddy. She had wanted to be just like him. Six-years-old and the curls in her hair, the baby blue eyes, even the freckles on each side of her nose seemed ageless. Do you remember when she was born? Two weeks early weighing 4lbs. 3oz. She had been such a beautiful baby, but now she’s gone. They both died, but they didn’t leave you alone. All those times you thought your husband would pull through. He did hang on for a while, but in the end he was meant to go too. He left behind another child though. We had plans for you, but it was their time to go. You were supposed to stay and take care of the life on the way. You gave up on yourself, on everything. You gave up on yourself, on everything. You cheated yourself and thought that death would satisfy you. I hope you were right because you’re going to stay right here. You will have to fill pain and your going to have to suffer by hearing the way they died for eternity. Its okay though because this is what you wanted. This was your choice. You choice. You were not supposed to die. The child held the fate of the world. How many centuries will you stay here knowing that…it was your entire fault? It was all you. Do you remember now?
