What If I...
Lucy Midnight
"What are we going to do grandpa", Tommy said with a yawn.
"We’re going fishing".
"It’s 4:30 in the morning".
"We have to start early".
"Leave me behind just this once".
"But we’ve been planning this for weeks".
"I know but please just this once leave me behind".
Tommy rolled back over and went back to sleep. When he awoke he got down from his bed and noticed that there was blood on the floor. He looked on the bottom bunk and there lay his dead grandfather. He ran to his mom and dads room and there in the middle of their bed were his parents...dead.
He ran out of the house and to the neighbors and they were also all dead.
"Wait a minute you mean to tell me that this all happened to someone you used to know?", asked Carla.
"That’s a loud of crap", said Michael.
"Really where’s the truth?", asked Amelia
"You wanna hear another one?", asked Brian.
"I think we’ve heard enough of your bull shit", Carla said.
"Its Michael’s turn any way", Amelia pointed out.
"Well what if I told my story a different way than Brian’s bullshit".
This man was in a bar after a hard day’s work. He was telling the bartender how much he hated his job. When the bartender went to the other end of bar to help a woman wearing a red dress that tied around her neck. It rode up her legs showing almost all of her legs.
The bartender came back over to the complaining man; he gave him a drink.
"I didn’t order a drink".
"It’s from the lady at the end of the bar".
The lady starts walking towards him and once she gets to him she asks, "is this seat taken"?
"No".
They go on chatting for 2 hours and then she leans over exposing her breasts and asks him to come to her apartment.
Once to the apartment she made them a drink. 10 minutes after he takes his first sip of his drink he was out cold.
When the man woke up he looked at his watch and realized he’d been out for two days. Then he realized that he was in a bathtub full of ice. He got up and then he thought about going to the window but didn’t think he could make it because he just realized that the bitch had taken a kidney.
He makes it to the window and he notices that woman has a Doberman and she’s coming to the bathroom and she has an ax.
"She doesn’t get into the bathroom and he doesn’t get out. See there’s a blade on the window seal and he lets it catch him off guard and it chops his head off. Then the dog gets a meal and he eats the head", Michael said finishing the story.
"Where’s the proof in that"?
"It’s called an urban legend Brian".
"Carla it’s your turn".
"Well... I don’t know any other one but this one".
A woman had just come in from hard day of work and the store. She was putting away the groceries and the house started to shake. She ran up the steps to where her dog was. She stuck her hand under the bed and the dog licked it.
She went back down stairs and finished putting the groceries away. She decided to go and take a nap so she started up the steps and the house started shaking again. So she ran upstairs and put her hand under the bed and the dog licked it.
She laid down to take her nap and the house shook for the last time and she stuck her hand under the bed and the dog licked it. She was then satisfied.
When she woke up it was morning. She got up and went into the bathroom.
"The first thing she noticed was the message written in blood on her mirror. It read ‘Dog’s aren’t the only thing that can lick your hand’. She then turned to the shower and there was her dog skinned but alive hanging from the shower rod", Carla finished.
"That’s a bunch of crap Carla".
"It was better than your story Brian".
"Amelia it’s your turn".
"I don’t have one that’s not kiddy".
"Oh come on we all have a tale or Urban Legend".
"Okay maybe I have one up my sleeve".
"It started when this bunch of teenagers went on this trip to Georgette. Well they had this wreck and they go to this small ravine, and gathered around a camp fire. There are two girls and two guys and everyone thinks there all dead. Because when the truck was found it was badly mangled."
"This story sounds familiar".
"The teenagers were never found until one day while a hunter was hunting he stumbled upon the bodies. They were badly mangled because a bear had seen them and thought lunch."
"What’d the hunter do"?
"Nothing".
All of the sudden it starts to lightning and Brian and Carla are struck by the lightning. Then they both disappear.
"Where’d they go"?
"I don’t know Michael".
Then with another flash of lightning Amelia disappears.
"No this can’t be happening"!
Michael never disappears to join his friends.
"Amelia, I’m so sorry that Michael couldn’t be saved. After all though he was the one on the side with the most damage".
Amelia left with tears in her eyes. She was Michael’s best friend and girl friend.
Brian and Carla felt empty as well as Amelia.
Three years later Amelia, Brian, and Carla were all in a car and Brian could have sworn that he saw Michael in the seat next to Amelia with his arm around her. That’s what caused him to go off the road killing Carla.
"Daddy is that the story of how you and Mommy got together"?
"Not quite".
"Then what is"?
"Children you have to go to bed now".
"Okay mama".
"Brian what exactly is the reason that we hooked up"?
"Because you had lost Michael and I lost Carla".
"Oh yeah that’s right".
Three weeks later Amelia and Brian were driving down the same road that Carla and Michael were killed on and they could have sworn they saw Michael and Carla by a camp fire waiting for Brian and Amelia. At that moment Brian hit a tree killing them both.
In Brian’s last breath he said, "But what if I...".
