City Of The Lost
I have gone to explore the forest of lost souls. Why? It had never been thoroughly explored and I needed a break from Civilization. As I approached its border it looked like any other forest, the trees thin along the edges, however as I moved into the trees it because apparent that they would grow thicker as I moved toward the center.
I have traveled for three days and the trees are so thick that sometimes I must take a detour, sometimes of half a mile in order find a way through them. After five more days the detours have become so often and of such great distance that I have only covered approximately two miles. It has been a week more and not I literally am up against an impassible wall of trees. I have walked around for days and have finally found a way through. Completely by chance I fell into the tunnel that leads under the wall. On the other side I have found an enormous city and it is obvious that this was once the domain of a great civilization and that I am not the first to find it. I believe that a battle of great magnitude was fought here and that there were few to no survivors. While exiting through the tunnel I noticed a note claiming to be left by the sole survivor. The note confirmed my theory about the city. I now understand the origin of the Forests’ name, though I doubt any other living being does.
