I Have Chosen You
Neil Southern

Are you reading this?
Perhaps you are asleep.
Of course you don’t know do you?
You assume that you are glancing over the words and your brain is using its vast experiences to let you imagine my voice. You may even visualise my face.

Am I male or female?
How old am I?

This is somewhat senseless I know.
After all, who cares?

I know you are intrigued. This is not like the stuff you normally read. Maybe you will stop right here and pick something else.

Are you reading though?

Are you asleep?

Are you just deep in thought?

You see I have chosen you to communicate with. There can only be one.
I don’t even know how I am doing this.

Just as you are now challenging your consciousness I too challenge mine.

Am I writing these words for you to read or am I asleep?

Am I deep in thought?

Am I somewhere else?

Do you feel that you know me as I do you?

I just know that you are there and I am here. I have chosen you.

You are confused. Perhaps a little scared.

So am I.

I just know that nothing changes. We don’t see everything. We don’t see the truth.

I do know that I have chosen you.

My child.
