The Biggest Drunk In Tennessee Barry Lee Hutchison Sr
She had bright green eyes and flaming red hair
Didn’t wanna know her name…'cause I really didn’t care
Just one more shot of tequilla will conquer all my fears
And I'll hear Jose Cuervo say “Go get her boy!”…loudly ringin’ in my ears
So I staggered up to her… with that old standard line
“Do you wanna go to your place...or do you wanna go to mine?”
To this day I still ask myself why?
Yep...That's when I knew...
Chorus:
She looked damn good from far...but damn she was far from good
Man I sure can’t pick ‘em...this never works out the way it should
Bartender hurry and pour me a double so I can turn this nightmare into a dream
‘Cause to drink this woman pretty… I’ll have to drink everything I see
Yeah if I drink this woman pretty…I’ll be the biggest drunk in Tennessee
Instrumental Break:
It was then she grabbed me by the belt, walked me across the smoke filled room
I saw faces light up with surprise…like they saw I’d just met my doom
What the Hell have I jumped into…with this bar room beauty queen?”
It was obvious what she had in mind…if you know just what I mean
When we reached the doorway…a harsh reality set in
The light hit her on her face and ugly seemed to have no end
I felt my stomach tighten...I got a sharp pain in my chest
Good Lord…she even had a misspelled tattoo proudly displayed on her left breast
You ain’t gotta be Einstein to figure out the rest…
Yep...That's when I knew
Repeat Chorus
As she dragged me out the front door I tried to come up with a plan
The whole time cussin’ Jose Cuervo…'cause he’s such an evil little man
He always does this to me...he always gets me in a fix
Thanks to him tonight I'll have to face the music
And deal with his dirty little tricks
Okay...okay...Don't get ahead of me now folks...Yep...that's when I should've knew...
Repeat chorus and instrumental close
