Journey To Over Mia Angello
I danced for you and the dance is gone
the beat slowed to murder the song.
I thought of you and the thought is gone
happy it hadn't lived long.
I fantasized about you and the fantasy is gone
rejection carried over from reality.
I reached for you and the reach is gone
1/2 mile gap into infinity.
And the soul drifts on. And the soul drifts away. And the soul is free to roam.
And the soul drifts on. And the soul drifts away to a place only it can call home.
I wanted you and the want is done
mayhem of desire turned tragic.
I wished for you and the wish is done
the falling star lost its magic.
I longed for you and the longing is done
'downed the finest vintage of pain.
I spilled tears for you and the tears are done
salting the wounds you had made.
And the soul drifts on. And the soul drifts away. And the soul is free to roam.
And the soul drifts on. And the soul drifts away to a place only it can call home.
And the soul drifts alone. And the soul drifts empty--its emptiness void of the pain.
And the soul drifts on. And the soul drifts away to a place only it can call sane.
And the soul drifts on. And the soul drifts away. And the soul is free to roam.
And the soul drifts on. And the soul drifts away to a place only it can call home.
