Summertime In California Patrick Fell
Woke up today in Santa Barbara.
With a girl I knew from years ago.
We spent most the night just reminissing.
Over high school days and crazy times.
Then I dropped her off in Montecito.
Where we laughed and kissed and waved good-bye.
Summertime in California.
There aint no place I'd rather be.
Where warm winds blow and oceans roar.
And mountains crumble to the sea.
Driving south down the coast highway.
Stop to ride some waves at Malibu.
Tonight we're sleeping in Topanga canyon.
In a house that's made of stone and wood.
They've got a deck that over looks the ocean.
With rocking chairs and bar-b-ques.
Where we can play guitars and watch the sunset.
From high atop a mountain view.
Summer time in California.
There aint no place I'd rather be.
Driving up and down the highway.
Jumping in the bright blue sea.
