I'll try to say something about the life of a fallen hero
gone to his final victory
and how the words he spoke will be read forever
in the annals of history
while those who knew him best, called him Ronnie for his name
he never had a reason to make a scene for his fame
showing that he cared, he held us deeply in his arms
for twenty nine hundred days
it took that long for him to break the history of our ways

Ronnie really isn't gone, or so it seems
he will live on forever with his jellybean dreams
jellybeans on his desk and the dreams that he's fulfilled
his dreams will live forever, but his jelly beans are spilled
now that Ronnie's gone to that island with the streams
he has left us his heart and his jellybean dreams
while we reminisce the passing of all his years
his legacy is being built with mortar mixed with our tears
he's standing as a model for the way he lived and enjoyed his life
with Nancy at his side as his loving and devoted wife
it really didn't matter, either in or out of the publics eye
he always took the lite side, with a smile, he never had to try

he opened up the curtain in the theater of the coldest war
it ended with his warmth, that's what his dream was for
and everywhere he went he used God as his guide
