Call Girl. Tamsin Butler
The phone rang again, this time it could be make or break for her career.
Nervously she paced the room, her heart pounding so hard in her chest she felt it might burst. What if this was the call that would set her free, from the life she has now?
She couldn't get to the phone because her legs were weak, but she had to before he heard and came for her again. She crept silently forward, tentatively, extending her hand towards the phone, like it may actually explode if she were to touch it.
There was a stirring from the other room, and a low growl, he had heard the phone and was on his way to show her what happens when he is disturbed.
She saw the dark shadow bobbing on the wall as he made his way to the room she was in.
She felt her legs give way below her and her black eyes fill up with tears in anticipation of what was going to happen. She crumpled to the floor and felt the ground shake with his steps.
The silence was almost deafening as he moved closer to her and with her eyes closed she could feel his presence and his breath on her neck. She cowered before him as if she was his prey.
Suddenly an un-expected thing happened, she felt a surge of energy pulse through her body, she wan't going to take this anymore. Enough was enough!
She lifts her head and opens her eyes, they are red with tears and stained with the make-up she has tried to cover the bruises with but they are defiant.
His hand hovers just above her face and she stares him down, she reaches for his hand, her saviour.
Finally someone had given her a chance to escape.
'Great job'he says 'the part is definately your's, i've never seen such great acting'
Still the ringing echoes in her head, but the voices and the shadows aren't so close this time, she is going to be free of them soon!
