Secretive, silent, an Adventurer So different yet so same we seem A man after my own heart, He tolerates food, loves ice-cream God help me! I’m charmed!
He scares me with his brilliance Charms me with startling chivalry Mocks my childlike silliness, yet indulges me patiently Na na, He is too good to me. Oh goodness, I am charmed!
He stares, he’s rude, he stares! He makes me talk n talk n talk I feel like a pesky insect He’d surely like to swat And then he goes and disarms me A gesture of old fashioned charm Oh mama mia, I blush again. Truly I am charmed!
He’s ruthless and unyielding; He’s cold, just won’t sway Words are so inadequate, my feelings to convey He thrills me, excites me, even as we play, Won’t let me win, won’t give an inch Though He’ll wipe my tears away Darn it I lost! What can I say? Once again I’m charmed!
He makes me laugh. He makes me smile I simply refuse to leave cloud 9 His mails I Love, poems adore I’d love to be his mi amore Heavens above, I’m charmed!
We whisper softly for hours on end At times senseless, at times pretend He is amused. I am amazed I ramble on. He is unfazed Someone save me. I’m charmed!
I harass him at work all day “Come away with me. Let’s dance let’s play” He never loses his temper though. Never says, “Shut up! Please go” He smiles at me - my hero, my knight So cold by day, so warm by night He would feel hurt, if I were harmed I’m entranced, enchanted, I am charmed!
