Cold Days
Green Emerald
Winters drawing in
Cold breeze pokes me like a pin
Lightening flashed a bright light
In a second it went out of sight
Thunder so strong it shook the cars
The THUD so loud it hurt our ears
Weather is cold and it's dull outside
But still with you I want to go for a ride
We cuddle up in bed never wanting to let go
Dreary weather like this can make anyone feel low
But I don't mind the fresh air cleaning my inside
The days draw in quick and it gets darker
It reminds me that Christmas is getting nearer
Shops open til late
Decorations gleaming in the night
Rushing around to get the Christmas shop done
Spending all our wages and forgetting to save some
This is my favourite season
Without any reason
Because it's the time for giving
And the time for sharing
Now all I wish for is a Christmas that is so white
And then there shall be light.
