Daze
Nesam Pillay
I realised that for a while I was in a daze
when I stared into a blank space
in my mind, before me over there.
I only saw want I wanted to see
his gentle love, his delicate touch.
His handsome face, his brilliant mind
his beautiful, joyful heart!
I only saw the perfection before me
the dream, the man, I so adored
He was a vision, a sort of a male muse,
who created so many, many different kind of hues
in my colourless being, in my plain life....
for a subtle, gentle moment.
He painted his love and when we made love
...it was beautiful, nothing but from above.
My mind, my soul he captured in space
I was dazed, by this stranger, his maze..
carelessly in whose hands, my heart I placed.
I dont want to awake,
I want this dream to forever stay
In a daze I'd be,
for eternity if it be
but sadly I was forced to awake,
I guess I only saw what I wanted to see,
the dream image I created finally brake.
Here I am as though in a cold blizzard
dreaming of warm and tender touches..
