Determination
B C Mercer
The simple joys of life
Bring great things together
Forming an indestructible bond
That will last forever.
It’s the little things that arise
And try to prove it all wrong
They are the barriers that disturb
The harmony of our song.
In order to maintain
The greatness we will form
We must put our assumptions aside
To weather this horrific storm.
We came together happy
This has started to fade
But we are staring in the face of adversity
To hold on to what we have made.
There is a life ahead of us
In which we both want to take part
College, marriage, children
You’ve stolen my heart.
We never thought we would feel
The way that we do
When we weren’t looking for love
Until I found you.
You have given me more
Than I could have ever dreamed
It may not be shown all the time
But it’s held in between
My heart and yours
In this indestructible bond
That will stand the test of time
As our life continues moving on.
I hate you when you’re not with me
I love you when you’re near
I’m so scared of losing you
It’s my undying fear
When we work through our faults
And realize what we possess
The fighting will cease
And we will be a success
There is nothing I want more
Than to have you here with me
I will go to the ends of the earth
To make sure this is where you will be
Together forever
Until the end of time
My heart is yours
As your heart is mine
