She spread herself for me
gave me all that I could see
later she will hang herself

about life's most deadly device
When the Devil screams
Do you listen?
And when he whispers

He tells me life's not worth the wishing
And death's not the thing to fear
At night the shadows manifest
and my heart tears at my chest
later I will dream of sleep
and wake up to get some rest
Birds sing a horrid song
I wait for him all day long
later I'll wish for hell
to see if he was ever wrong
When the Devil screams
