Dilemma B C Mercer
Why! Why must I live
In this world corrupted by hatred and sin?
Can I really touch the hearts of others
Or can I give up, and start over again?
It is hard to find meaning
In this mediocre lifestyle
I feel I have gone nowhere
After ten thousand miles.
Embrace the passion of sweet release
As I leap from up high
Floating as a seagull
Up above the ocean sky
The earth is rapidly approaching
In this, my final descent
What is left to do?
Should I pray or repent?
I spread my vast wings.
The wind takes hold.
It slows me to a stop
As my life unfolds.
I see my mother, my father,
And all five of my sisters.
Love in autumn,
Heartbreak in winter.
Experiencing all I have had
And what has passed by
Is a sunrise of hope
To open these blind eyes.
A ray of beauty
Flashes before me,
She holds me in her arms
From now to eternity
