ABOUT
THE AUTHOR
I'm 19 and I currently a student at a local college. I'm pursuing a degree in biology. Despite my affinity for the sciences, I've had a passion for writer. I've been told I'm extremely talented, I still have yet to find the beauty that other people do in my writing... Give something a read and tell me what you think. [July 2003]

Forgiveness Ashley Burdett
I saw you.
Yes, I did,
I saw you,
Laid heavy with burden,
But still I did not stop
To help you carry it.
I saw you,
Yes, I did.
I saw you
But you did not see me,
For it was too late
I had already kicked dirt into your eyes.
I saw you.
Yes, I did.
But you did not see me,
Yet you felt me,
I was there,
In the sweet, warm spit,
I threw across your face.
I saw you.
Yes, I did.
But you were blinded by my hatred.
Still you cannot see me
For the veil of darkness
Has been drawn across your eyes.
I beg you.
Yes, I do.
To stop attempting to see with your eyes,
And learn to see with your heart.
When you have learned,
Please come and find me.
When you have learned,
I will see you
And say the words
I wanted to say that day
I broke your spirit and cursed your name.
Please forgive me.
