Guiding Star

There were times when I needed a guiding star
To show me some light in all my darkness
One to shine through the storms and rages of my lonely sea
A star that could show me the path when I couldn’t find it on my own
You were the only light that could penetrate through any wall that blocked me from reaching myself
You were the only light that saved me from the raging wave swallowing me whole
You are the light that no one can dim
For you shine the brightest of all the stars
