How It Must Feel To Die Alone Aryka
There’s an incredible pain that stretches through
your chest and the first thought that comes to
mind is...“I’m dying“. Looking around you notice
that all the ones who are present at this time are
walking away from your convulsing body and you’re
left there alone. Minutes pass by and your breathing
becomes shallow...in your mind you are crying out
to be saved but the words never leave your mouth
fully. A small hint of death passes before your
eyes and all you want to think about is your past.
The yard was once full of obstacles when you were
young and now it is full of danger. At one time
you played carelessly underneath the trees, seeing
bugs and squirrels pass before your eyes. Pouncing
was grand fun and most the excitement was within
the adventures into the woods behind your home.
The trees were taller than you and no matter how
hard to tried to climb them...you never succeeded
into making it to the very top.
As you remember, your mother never paid much attention
to what you did. She had several other children to
take care of and it didn’t matter whether you were
lost or at her side. You even preferred to be lost
beneath the front porch or in the ditches near the
road where your imagination ran out.
Looking back you remember the great times of your
life and you understand how it might not be so bad
to die. If the pain wasn’t so tremendously awful you
would have chose this a long time ago.
Your neck is immobile along with your arms and legs.
The only thing you can do now is try to control the
spasms of your nerves. You’ll find out the hard way
that you can’t control them...no matter how hard
you may want them to stop.
At last, they do stop, but so does your breathing
and heart. You are finally released of the pain from
both the world and from the accident.
You leave too quickly, though, as a little girl
runs to your side. She yells your name and tears
stain her cheek as lifts you into her arms, but
there is nothing she can do now. You are already gone.
The girl forces herself to stop sobbing in order to
tell her mother what had happened and how you died.
The mother takes you and raps you in a small cloth
and tells the child that they will bury you in the
woods that you loved so much.
Your mother doesn’t come to say goodbye and neither
do your siblings, but the one who really took care
of you was the little girl and she was there.
Crying over your grave. Her mother was there too
and while they walked back to the house she turned
to her daughter and said, “don’t worry, honey, we’ll
get you another kitten tomorrow.”
