How September 11th Changed The Life Of The Freemans
Alex Reuille

3:00 p.m. September 10, 2001
Dear diary, Hey it’s me Nicole. Today was a nice day, not too hot, not too cool- just right and everyone was happy. At school, we played kickball. Of course my team won. Our lunch consisted of a cheeseburger and a Propel. Right now on the bus everyone is talking to the kids in their seat! I can’t wait until tomorrow. We are going to New York City to see the twin towers, and my dad.

“HEY, MOM I’M HOME!” Nicole screamed as she entered the house
“ALL RIGHT!” her mother replied. Nicole started to pack her suitcase when she saw on the news that the red sox won their game. Nicole started to write in her diary.
5:45 p.m. September 10, 2001
Dear diary, I have finished packing my bag and I am ready for our 8:00A.M. flight out of Boston International Airport. We leave at 5:00A.M. for the airport, so I need to get up early!

“Nicole, it is time for bed.” her mother told her.
“All right,” Nicole replied. “Mom, I have a question. How bad is an airplane?” Nicole asked. “It is not that bad, it is pretty much innocuous.” her mother replied.

       7:00 p.m. September 10, 2001
Dear diary, Hey it’s me again. I am going to leave soon for my flight to New York City. I hope I land there on time, because I want to see the World Trade Center buildings so bad!!!! Well I’m going to bed now. Goodnight.

“Nicole are you still awake honey?” her mom whispered.
“...Somewhat why?” Nicole whispered.
“Oh just wondering if you finished packing your bag,” her mom told her.

3:45 a.m. September 11, 2001
Dear diary, Today’s the big day. I’m going to New York today to see my dad and do some sightseeing around New York City!! The twin towers are my favorite buildings in the world!!! Even more than the Eiffel Tower or the Sears Tower. Well I have to take a shower, bye.

“MOM, WHERE IS THE SOAP?!” Nicole yelled from the shower.
“I PUT IT AWAY. USE THE SHAMPOO!” her mom told her. Nicole finished her shower and dressed in to her “I LOVE NY” T-shirt.

4:27 a.m. September 11, 2001
Dear diary, well only 33 more minutes until we leave for the BIA. Yes, the Red Sox won yesterday!!! Go Sox. On Thursday we are going to Cooperstown to see the Baseball Hall Of Fame. Well mother is calling me for breakfast, I’ll write in you when we are on the plane. Oh yeah, before I forget I want to say that I am presuming that the plane won’t crash or blow up since they very rarely do. Ok now, I am now leaving, Bye.

Nicole ran down the stairs for her breakfast. She had wasted time by writing in her diary. “Mom what’s for breakfast?” Nicole asked.
“Scrambled eggs,” Her mother replied.
As Nicole and her mom ate their breakfast Nicole was starting to be a little worried about the ride because she has never flown in a plane before.

5:59 a.m. September 11, 2001
Dear diary, we are at the airport and in the line for our tickets. I can’t wait! Although I am not too happy about the plane ride, because we used to ride a train, but I will ride the plane! Well I am exiting leaving the line now. Got to go, bye.

“Hey, Mom,” Nicole uttered to her mom
“Yes, sweetie?” her mom asked “How are we going to go to the plane?” Nicole asked. “There is a bus that takes us.” Her mom answers.
“Ok thanks.” Nicole uttered,
“You’re welcome,” Her mom replied.

 7:30A.M. September 11, 2001
Dear diary, we are in the plane right now. I am felling better about this plane thing. The flight attendant told me that this is really nothing but prior to this flight she had to use the emergency slide before. Well the pilots told us that we are leaving soon so I need to put my tray table up so I’ll write it you later, bye.

“Nicole are you ready?” her mom asked.
“Yes.” Nicole spoke to her mom.
“Ok we’ve left on time it is 8:02 A.M. we are departing for New York and landing at 9:00 A.M,” The pilot spoke over the loudspeaker.

     8:38A.M. September 11, 2001
Dear Diary, Oh my goodness there are hijackers on the plane they took the plane over and are going to crash it into a world trade center building.

Nicole quickly called her Dad with her Mom’s cell phone. “Hey, Dad our plane is about to crash into your building I suggest you run out of the trade center! I love you bye!” Nicole told her father as they crashed into the north tower.

Back home in Boston, Nicole’s friends learn about the crash and are very sad they are listening to the CNN news cast and they announce, “Hijackers crashed a plane into the north and south towers of the World Trade Center buildings and they felled the towers.”

The Next week
“We are here today to mourn Nicole Freeman, Barbra Freeman, and Kevin Freeman. Please take a moment of silence for all of the victims on 9-11-01.” The mourner announced.
The End
