In The Lonely Temple Nesam Pillay
In the lonely temple,
on a forlorn hill,
among the trees of tall,
so peaceful, so calm, so still,
the journey seem so endless.
Accompanying me is light
from the moon,
I am caught by breathlessness,
as I climb the stoney mound.
The moon my, only friend.
She guides my tired feet.
So weary as I ascend on that narrow path,
in the stillness of the nite, visions so bleak.
With the sweet breeze blowing,
my mind only dwells with delight,
on my love, my beloved one.
He will be here with me too,
and together we shall taste loves sweet wine.
On that forlorn hill,
you and I shall meet.
For the lonely temple,
shields our rendezvous so brief.
Finally I reached the place of bliss.
My heart so excited cant wait for his loving kiss.
I light a candle in the lonely nite,
for then shall my love know that I am here,
that I await his sweet caresses,
as I long to bestow kisses back.
I await by the lowly shallow pond
by the cool waters
where white water lilies abound.
I am caught in the daze of their perfume.
My heart so longs for him, the only one,
my only love.
You are so gentle and so fair,
for with none other can I compare.
My heart knows that you will soon be here
We shall be together in our secluded lair.
The breeze, the moon, the tress of night,
the temple in all its delight,
shall watch the fires of love alight.
Is that your footsteps I hear so near?
So cool the waters of the shallow pond.
Indeed I long to soak in its chillness calm.
So eagerly I await to reunite this bond.
My lover, your touches are like healing balm.
Your presence creates within me new psalms.
Where are you? Where are you?
The warm breeze blows on,
It whispers in my ears, it says he is here.
My love have you finally arrived?
My love are you near?
I shed my soft black lace
and step into the waters,
of the cooling pond,
where sweet scented water lilies abound.
Softly the water brushes my skin,
tingles my spine, as I enter in.
Such joy it brings,
just like you my beloved,
my love sublime.
Have you arrived? Are you here??
Yes, yes you are here.
My heart beats faster
than the sea full of tides.
Finally, finally,
our love journey continues,
how sweet the anticipation,
let our love abide.
I invite you to come,
quickly join me in the shallow pond.
Hug, hug as we finally meet,
let our bodies entwine.
Passions set ablaze,
fires of love's tempestuous flames,
caressing, holding, kissing, incensed,
our bodies rejoin as one.
Touching, tasting,
love making, erotic madness,
all but none for the taking,
nothing but giving
sharing our love in thanksgiving.
For a little while we meet,
a moment in time.
Let it be sweet in the shallow pond,
in the lonely temple.
By the cool waters,
where the fragrant white water lilies abound,
our romance so simple and divine.
