Loop Life

I lay here now on my bed writing this. As I write I consider past, present and future. I wonder at life and if its just one giant loop/ But that’s just another of life’s mysteries. I want to write I story but I don’t know how to start. I guess it will just come to me.

I write a story about a girl. She sits alone at a bus stop. She is cold and wet. The sun is just beginning to set. It starts to rain. Oh just my luck! Thinks Kat. I ran out of money and now it rains. Kat glances to the road. The bus doesn’t come. She grumbles, and then thinks about a story her dear mother told her. Her dear deceased mother. Tears fill her eyes, and to smother the emotions she tells herself the story again.

Somewhere distant in a land not near yet not far lives a young boy. He is not yet even ten, and he is all alone in this cruelty of a world. He lives lone because of a horrible war, which has come, and gone. He cries at night with the heavy loss of his loved ones. Salty tears fell down kits face, they stained his tan, dirty skin and puddled on the muddy ground. Some dripped into his mouth reviving the thirst he lost. His throat was parched and dry. He hurt all over. And he remembered not a thing, other than his name is Kite and he lost everyone dear to him. He also remembers one bit of advice. Clear strong words from his father. “When sorrow envelopes you, and hope seems far. Sing with your heart my boy, sing out all the pain”. And so kite sings. New tears blur his eyes. He sings of a king, lonely without love.

A life without love is a horrible thing. One person whom knows tis is King Flairee. His wife, the love of his life died a few months before. She died young of cancer that crept up stealthily, then hit with a blow. He never got over her. Flairee just sits on his throne. Crown tossed aside. He wallows in sadness. He thinks to himself. I should not be king. I could not even save fair Gloria. But part of being royalty is accepting responsibility and knowing that you cant save everyone. The king himself was dying. Depression killing him slowly, painfully. He had no will to live. His people knew this. They loved their king, he was kind and fair. So they tried to cheer him up. They told jokes, gave shows, anything to make their king better. Nothing worked. The king was dead to the world. Then one day a lovely young maiden had an idea. She bought paint and paper to the king and said “Great king Flairee, you must cease to wither in sorrow. Your wife is not coming back” she smiled sadly “You cant bring her back, be don’t dwell on the bad, I shall paint a picture or Gloria, all her beauty and serenity so you can remember her forever.” So the young maiden with the help of the king produced a splendid picture of a blonde young woman in about her mid twenties. She had a thoughtful, peaceful look on her face. The king sighed this was all he needed. And the painting told Gloria’s story.

Gloria gazed out the window deep in thought, a painter smiled and said “Just a few more moments your majesty.” Gloria nearly smiled back. Sunny was the lands greatest artist, she could paint nearly anything. It was believed she could draw the gates of heaven. Gloria lost herself in thought again. She remembered a poem Sunny had told her. About a girl whom wrote about stories. How amusing, she thought.

And life trails back. Many people live in sorrow and fear, I realise this. But life is balanced and there is always good where there is bad, this is only a small section in the story of life. And an even smaller story in my life.
