Malaysia..

Malaysia is one of the few peaceful
Muslim countries left in the world.
I find myself asking many questions
that can't simply be solved due to
religions.

I am really interested in how Malaysia
somewhat remains a peaceful country?
There are so many Muslim countries that
are in turmoil, but somehow Malaysia is
not one of them. What is the secret?
Why can't other Muslim countries follow suit?

Where is all the anger and hatred coming from?
I am proud to be sharing a portion of my life
in Malaysia.
Being here has demolished a dark part in my life,
the fear of Muslims, being here has shown me that
you can't always believe everything you read, hear
or see about Muslims.

In this coming May I will be
in Malaysia 10 years peacefully and I am a Christian.
not once any Muslims here told me to leave their country,
not once they told me Christians are bad people, so how
can my own country and others say Muslims are evil?

As a Christian I have seen my share of bad things in
my religion. The Muslims in Malaysia are the most heart
warming people, they greet you with open arms, they invite
you to all their functions and not once they told me
I should leave my religion to join theirs.

America is so caught up on media they actually believe
Muslims will wipe out Christians, but in reality I see more
Christians wiping out Muslims, for what cause?

The cost of innocent lives on both sides should be a
warning its time for peace. Violence does not cure problems,
and Malaysia has come a long ways in the past ten years
i have been here, don't get me wrong there are political
conflicts but it never hashes out on tourists or any
minorities, Malaysia has scars for sure, but I do see it
struggling to learn from its mistakes and correct it.

I am sad to say I don't see America doing it, and for that
reason only I remain in Malaysia where all races, religions
come together and try to make matters better, no one is perfect
an there will be conflicts, but I do see Malaysia as a perfect
example how other Muslim countries should be, If we can
get over the religion profiling and terrorism and focus on
tourism instead much wealth can build a better world and countries.

I hope by 2020 Malaysia will achieve its commitment and have the
worlds most peaceful country and many will embrace the idea Muslims
are peaceful peoples and can be at peace with their opposite religion
counter parts. I wish Peace to all and Joy.
