Malidor:Ruler Of The Dark Ages Part Two E Daugherty
As I was saying...
My maker, Glond`a, died at the hand of the city we hated so dearly. For weeks I studyed the human who had slayed my only companion and friend. I couldn't believe this...mere man went far beyond his expectations and took the liberty to murder the God that Glond`a was. I took no pity when I found him stray from the rest of his stricken drunk party. The next morning the celebrated no more. They feared our kind once again and they soon started leaving virgin sacrifices. Oh the lustful taste of pure blood. There is no description for blood. Each persons blood taste different and each time you create those neck wounds you know whats coming. I simply cannot have enough of the feeling. Excitment runs all through my cold body when my hunt begins.
Years passed and I simply forgot Glond`a all together. I seemed to enjoy traveling, tasting and discovering new things. I knew at the time that visiting places I had dreamed about as a boy only drove my human qualities mad. I soon learned that feeding off the sick and homeless allowed me to stay in a place longer. A disease was no problem for a vampire, due to the fact that our systems broke down any viruses and infections...no worries, but I suppose you knew that.
I found that living many lives was an extrodinary talent that I picked up soon after I bored with traveling. I would go from town to town becoming anything I wanted. I looked young at the time, so becoming an apprentice was an easy task. I learned many things, but one I keep up with was when I became a member on board the 'Amphitrite,' named after the Queen of the Sea. I seemed to have a deep connection with the sea. Loving the waves and the creatures we saw. The storms we encountered on the lands were nothing compared to the hell we came upon on the water. The wind driving through my hair and capturing me, lifting me up and letting my spirit fly was something I missed most of all. I suppose this dream only killed me more inside, for my human part became attached to the life and was disagreeable when the time had come for me to move on.
I soon felt as though I were taking on a second personality, one that was desperate to become a living person once again. A part of me longed for a life...
