My First Christmas Without You Green Emerald
The only sad Christmas I’ve ever had
Is when you were acting bad
It was the Christmas I had to spend without you
Not only I was lonely but our son too
You decided to move out
When we didn’t mean to shout
How it came to this, I still do not know
The sadness on my face will forever show
It was our first Christmas in our new home
You said you felt locked in a dome
You wanted to run away, far far away
You didn’t get very far when you wanted to come back and stay
You called me everyday
Yet you wanted to lead a separate way
You wanted to see your son on Christmas day
You even begged on New Years Day
Everyone said I didn’t let you see him out of spite
But I was teaching you a lesson, at the time I was right
You left our little world, to be somewhere else
You left our tree that we decorated ourselves
I tried to put on a brave face
But for empty happiness there was no space
For in my heart I was yearning
What was this lesson from God we were learning
Why did we have to part in the end of the year
Why did you not shed a tear
No presents to un wrap under the tree
You flew away, wanting to be free
Free from what? Free from my love
Like a angel watching over you from above
I took you back and now look forward to a New Year
I’m counting down to Christmas, but still having fear
Fear of losing you again
I was so lost without you back then
Me and you belong together
Forever and Forever.
I only want to share loving memories with you
For bad memories like these only make me stew
