My Life (For Now I Don't Care)
Sara Roggy
My life is strewn before me
taking up all the space on the floor
it's been bashed to pieces
many other times before.
Many people have hurt me
and many more will still.
They couldn't care if I'm in pain
or if I'm perfectly well.
My life is in pieces
waiting for someone to come along
someone who knows my sorrows
someone who knows my pain
It needs to be pulled together
and tied together with string
so that way I can't
ever lose any pieces again.
Some people take a small piece
thinking it's no big deal
but when they choose to hate me
I never get it back
The puzzle is incomplete
but for that I an grateful
who wants the perfect life?
Why waste the time?
My life is bashed to pieces
but for now...
I really don't care.
