My Wife Is Missing
Richard Koss

“My wife is missing, officer.”

“When did you last see her?”

“About ten-thirty this morning.
She went out to walk our dog.”

“How would you describe your wife?”

“Well, she’s about average height and weight.”

“Color hair?”

“Kind of brown with some gray in it.”

“Color eyes?”

“I guess they’re sort of blue or green.”

“How old is your wife?”

“Almost seventy-five, I think”.

“What was she last wearing?”

“Her beige raincoat, or maybe
 a brown windbreaker - I’m not sure.”

“You say she was walking your dog?”

“Yes, he’s a thoroughbred German Shepherd. Exactly seven years old last Friday. He has magnificent coloring, big black eyes and nose, classic pointed ears, and weighs about 130 pounds. He wears a black leather collar with rhinestones and answers to the name of Cecil.”
