Ode To The Girl With An Unspellable Name
Tim Scaserini

Jeenie, Geanie, Jeanie, Geenie,
I have no idea
How you spell your name.
Does it start with a G
Or a J?
You're lovely.
Either way.

No!
I don't care
If it has a diphthong,
An A,
Or just an E.
Because you are like
A goddess to me.

Yes!
A goddess of love
Like Aphrodite,
But less mythical
And with fewer things,
Like wings.

Hey!
I would forfeit all.
Just to be your chum.
Sweet ‘G'or ‘J'.
What would
You say?
