Ode To Wayne Dyer Liilia Morrison
I have heard that men like Dyer
Fill some women's breasts with fire.
Jealous husbands get unglued.
On them jumpsuits don't look good.
Self-help books these women crave.
Morning pages, they all rave,
Are the thing that quells red rages
At their husbands' paltry wages.
Many hubbies feel a pain
When discussions turn to Wayne.
'Oh, his latest book's a dream,'
Women drool like clotted cream.
Happiness is now a zone
Full of luscious ice cream cones,
Marmalade and buttered scones.
Unzoned folks can gnaw on bones.
If you're stuck in mental cages,
Unaware of modern sages,
Sporting pale blue stretchy togs,
You'll remain a warty frog.
Did you know your inner child
Loves to roam and will run wild,
Crushing daisies, though you'll find,
Park inspectors won't be kind?
Is your inner voice sublime,
As you slither in the slime?
Though the game is to harass,
You refuse to be so crass.
Solve your woes by journaling,
Then each page in fires fling.
Smile, pronouncing, "It's all good,"
While you're mugged by boys in 'hood.
Ordinary folks won't listen
To your wise remarks, that glisten
With a truth too deep to hear.
They would rather drink a beer.
When perusing self-help nooks,
You mistake the flagrant crooks
For soul-healing, yoga brooks,
Go for Dyer's honest looks.
After all, or so they say,
Forty thousand Frenchmen gay,
Cannot ever be mistaken,
Nor can women's hearts be taken,
Fooled, or toyed with by a man,
Always sporting golden tan,
Hair and moustache, oh so pretty.
Long live Wayne, but squelch this ditty.
