Scene fades in on:
Exterior, daytime.

It is daylight outside, but getting close to dusk.
We see a tall man wearing a black robe walking along the edge of an
embankment, overlooking a valley full of corpses.
Some of the bodies are burned, still smoldering,
some blown apart. There is a visible haze of
stench in the air. Pools of blood surround some
of the corpses, drawing swarms of flys.

Camera cuts to:
A closeup of the man's face; It is a kind face,
though weathered and rugged. His coal black eyes gaze out at the
carnage below, and he is smiling.
{we hear an off camera voice}

Voice: Excuse me, kind sir. Can you direct me to
the nearest town?
Camear cuts to:
We see the robed man turn around to look at the
voice's face; we see what he sees. A young man,
maybe twenty years old. He is wearing a tattered
uniform of some type, covered with dirt, blood.
The blood is not his own, he is not wounded.
He looks tired.

Bloody man: Please sir, if you could-
Robed man: My name is Taslow. What is yours,
weary one?
Omar: My name is Omar. And yes, I am weary,
weary from battle, from death. From this
genocide.
Taslow: Are you a soldier? Take part in this?
Omar: Yes...I was a soldier once. But not now.
Ive had enough of killing.
Taslow: Pity. It pains me to see a good soldier,
a good killer, lay down his weapons.
Omar: {looking confused} Pains you? Why?
Taslow: Because it gives me less to do, one less
thing to occupy my time. I have too much free time
as it is. Sometimes, it seems like an eternity.
Omar: All of this genocide, death, and youre bored?
Taslow: It is duty to clean up the aftermath;
count the dead, collect the souls.
Omar: You are a ...soul collector?
Taslow: Yes...among other things.
Omar: Yes..go on.
Taslow: Do you know who I am?
Omar: No.
Taslow: {pointing at the dead bodies} These dead
lambs? They are now my lambs, the human lambs, with their souls
set up for slaughter. They are my sheep, I am
their sheperd.
Omar: What are you talking about?! Are you mad?
Taslow: I am their salvation, from their own
miserable lives, and from death itself.
Omar: WHO ARE YOU?!
Taslow: I am legion, I am many. The prince of
darkness, the collector of lost souls, wayward
lambs. I must see that offerings are made unto
me.
Omar: Are you the leader of some strange and evil
cult?
Taslow: {smiling} Thee is cast out into the void,
fear not. Ill be there waiting for thee. Thee
who walks alone in the darkness, fear not, I
will be your eyes when you cannot see.
Omar: Youre mad! Youre a lunatic! {he turns to
walk away}
Taslow reaches out and grabs Omar's arm.
Omar: Let go of me!!
Taslow: take my hand and walk with me! Walk
with me into the lights of my homefires
burning. Let the flames lick your skin, cleanse
your lost soul of all impurities-
Omar: {struggling} Let go of me!!
Taslow: take my hand...and pray...

We see taslow's hand suddenly turn into a gnarled
claw, we see his face begin to change, the two
coal black eyes turning a fireball red, his skin
seeming to smolder.
Omar: Oh my God!!
Taslow: No, no, weary one. the Devil. Thats
evil with a D, thank you.

WE see Omar's eyes open wide in stark terror
now as Taslow opens his robe wide, like big
bird's wings, and wraps it around Omar's body,
engulfing him. We hear blood curdling screams echoing throughthe valley below
as the scene slowly fades out.

{scene fades to black}

"I've liked the script, however what you have is a true example that sometimes listing all of the zooms of a camera doesn't necessarily bring the film to life, although you should still try to keep your focus on better formatting your script, besides that you are a truly artist of words; and I can't wait to see a full script written by you." -- Seamar Hawkings.
"Interesting..very interesting. It has the feel of a twilight zone episode.Just a little to many camera instructions, but i liked it.Good work. W.T.Jr." -- willie travis jr, Baton Rouge, LA, USA.
